“Relaxing and interesting bird watching with Luis”
Luis and his two sons made the bird watching experience very interesting and informative... we are novice birdwatchers and this was a great first introduction.

“Don't miss out Birdwatching with Luis Morales!”
We've gone bird watching with Luis many times in the last few years. It is the most pleasant way to spend time while visiting the area. He will cater to birders from very beginners to the most experienced working on life lists. Contact Luis beforehand to make arrangements for whatever tour you desire - a couple of hours or more. Depending on what you arrange with him, you will enjoy walking, visiting, and of course seeing all the birds that are around at the time. And there are a lot of birds in this area!
Luis is not only passionate about birding but also about wildlife conservation and promoting sustainable practices. He's also very interested in education for young people and local communities.
Luis is so friendly and knowledgeable that it's such a pleasure to spend a morning or more of your holiday with him.

“Birding in San Pancho”
We had the pleasure of going on a wonderful birding expedition led by Luis Morales, owner of Birding San Pancho Private Tours. He is very passionate about birding as well as his wonderful seaside community of San Pancho. He picked us up in Sayulita at 6:30am and we began bird watching in the San Pancho estuary 30 minutes later. Luis provided binoculars for everyone, and in addition he carried a high quality spotting scope on a tripod. With the early morning light to our back, we had ideal conditions for observing and photographing the abundance of water and shore birds in the estuary–we saw 21 species in 90 minutes. Then off to a wonderful breakfast, followed by another 90 minutes of birding along the edge of a jungle near the San Pancho River. He dropped us off at his favorite beachfront restaurant in San Pancho just before noon, where we had a nice lunch, then took a taxi ($9 USD for 4) back to Sayulita. Wear long pants, hiking shoes and bug repellant. We highly recommend it

“Awesome Experience!”
Several years back, my best friend and I spend several days with the owner of Birding San Pancho and birded several areas in and around the town. We had a fantastic time and were able to see a huge variety of birds in the area. Since we are birders, we not only wanted to see various birds but, we wanted to see as many as possible in our short time visiting. Luis, the owner, works very hard to ensure that you see as much as he can possibly find. He is knowledgeable and very accommodating. He loves birds and is heavily involved with conservation and education in the area. So, supporting him and Birding San Pancho serves also as a method of supporting the birds you are actively watching.
We returned last week and spent two more days with Luis and were again, very pleased. We actually wanted to go to San Blas to bird and Luis designed a perfect birding experience for us to see the birds in the area we wanted to go. So, not only can you bird San Pancho but, you can make arrangement to bird other locations too. But, be sure to contact Luis ahead of time to work out a trip tailored to you needs.
Whether you are a birder or would just enjoy spending some time watching and learning a little more about the birdlife around San Pancho, I strongly encourage you to spend some time with Luis and Birding San Pancho. It is a great time and, the town of San Pancho is pretty cool too!
